Did you know that Hibiscus is Haiti's national flower? It's name in Haitian creole is called "choeblack".  It was used as a shoe polisher if you can believe it. The fresh flower when rubbed on your shoe can bring it back to life. Not only is Hibiscus used as a shoe polisher, but when its dried it can be added to teas to give it additional flavor, color, and healing properties.
